Dr. Kirley is Director of Chronic Disease Prevention and Programs in the Improving Health Outcomes group at the American Medical Association. She serves as a clinical lead on AMA’s chronic disease prevention initiatives and leads efforts to advance chronic disease prevention via utilization of digital health solutions, advancing quality measurement, and improving medical education. Prior to joining the AMA, she was a practicing family physician and health services researcher at NorthShore University HealthSystem, and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Chicago.

Jennie Folk is the Senior Program Manager of Digital Health and Informatics at the American Medication Association (AMA). She leads digital health and interoperability strategies, empowering physicians to provide evidence-based care, and prevent cardiovascular diseases. Jennie collaborates with digital health vendors, oversees quality measures (including prediabetes measures), and supports interoperability standards. Her perspective and approach stems from prior experience as a registered respiratory therapist at a level 1 trauma center in Chicago. Before the AMA, Jennie transformed healthcare operations as an internal consultant at Advocate Health. She led clinical testing for a new EHR at 400+ sites, established medical supply chain standards, and wrote clinical risk assessments. As a graduate student, she developed an internet-based neurosurgery patient reported outcome tool for Advocate Health. Jennie holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Illinois, an Associate degree in Respiratory Care from the College of DuPage, and a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
