Decreasing the Risk of Dialysis-Related Infections: What We Have Learned from Patients and Care-Partners
This session highlights several patient perspectives on non-medical factors that could contribute to increased risk of infection in people on dialysis. Clinical vignettes will illustrate four patient perspectives on factors that impact bloodstream infection risk. A roundtable with an interdisciplinary team including a nephrologist, dialysis nurse, technician, and social worker will discuss the patient perspectives and share strategies to reduce infection risk for people on dialysis. During the live broadcast session, the interdisciplinary panelists will be in the chat to ask and answer attendee questions in this interactive session.
