Nico Dimenstein, MD, MPH

Nicholas "Nico" Dimenstein, MD, MPH, is a board-certified Pediatrician and Pediatric Emergency Medicine attending at Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC. His interests include language equity work, HIV / PrEP, and adolescent health. He received his medical degree from University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine and his masters in public health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public health.

Sarit Golub, PhD

Sarit Golub, PhD, is Professor of Psychology at Hunter College and the CUNY Graduate Center, where she is on the faculty of the Basic and Applied Social Psychology PhD Program and the Clinical Psychology @ Queens College PhD program. Dr. Golub is a Social Psychologist with training and experience in public health, and her work seeks to apply social psychological theory and methods to improve health interventions and outcomes. Dr. Golub directs the Hunter Alliance for Research & Translation (HART), whose mission is to translate research findings into practical implications for service and advocacy organizations, accelerating the pace of equitable, just, empirically-based practice. Her research applies social cognitive theories to the study of health behavior, with a focus on sexual risk-taking and adherence. Dr. Golub’s NIH-funded research applies findings across disciplines to inform new approaches to HIV prevention and care. She collaborates with community-based organizations throughout New York to translate study findings into prevention and care for vulnerable populations.

Carlos Saldana Ochoa, MD

Saldana Ochoa, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Emory University School of Medicine. He is known for his role as a medical advisor in the HIV Program of the Georgia Department of Public Health. His research is dedicated to advancing knowledge in the field of infectious diseases and public health, with a specific focus on Hispanic and Latino communities. Dr. Saldana's work explores implementation science and involves innovative approaches to HIV cluster detection and response.

Julian Torres Isasiga, MD 

Julian Torres Isasiga, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein and Associate Professor, Infectious Diseases at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Torres’s clinical focus centers on general infectious disease care, HIV prevention and care, sexually transmitted infections and medical education. Building on his clinical focus, Dr. Torres’s research focuses on HIV prevention and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). Dr. Torres is a reviewer for Clinical Infectious Disease, Open Forum Infectious Disease and the International Journal of STD & AIDS. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, books, chapters, review articles and abstracts. Dr. Torres is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America. In 2023, he received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Division of Infectious Disease at Montefiore Einstein. The same year, Dr. Torres received the Teaching Star-Teaching Commendation Letter for the 2022-2023 Academic Year from Montefiore Einstein.

Amy Wiser, MD

Amy Wiser, MD, is an educator, mom, and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Iowa Department in Iowa City, Iowa. She completed her undergraduate studies at Penn State University and earned her medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine. After graduating from family medicine residency training in Pennsylvania, she completed her OB Fellowship through University of Washington in Spokane. Dr. Wiser started her career in rural Oregon and, prior to her current academic role, worked for an urban underserved look-a-like FQHC in Portland. These clinical experiences continue to fuel her love of full scope family medicine practice and community focus. Dr. Wiser’s clinical and research passions include LGBTQ+ care, family planning, as well as HPV and cervical cancer screening and prevention. She is the Medical Director of the University of Iowa LGBTQ Clinic, a core faculty of the family medicine residency program, and holds obstetrical surgical privileges through the university.

Erica Kaufman West, MD

Erica Kaufman West, MD, completed her undergraduate degrees at Valparaiso University in Indiana. She received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She finished her Internal Medicine residency and her chief resident year at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She stayed to complete her fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the West LA VA/Cedars-Sinai/Olive View-UCLA Medical Center program. She has been working in the Midwest since then, focusing on acute inpatient as well as outpatient care in HIV, Hepatitis C and wound care. She now works as the AMA’s Director of Infectious Diseases while maintaining her clinical practice.
