Immunization Recommendations for the 2026-27 Respiratory Virus Season

How were immunization safety and effectiveness evaluated for the 2026–27 respiratory virus season? How was evidence used to understand the risks and benefits for different patient populations? During this live event, the Vaccine Integrity Project will explain the structured, evidence-based review process that was undertaken to assess immunization safety and effectiveness for influenza, COVID-19, and RSV as well as key findings from the comprehensive scientific evidence briefs. Representatives from the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and Infectious Diseases Society of America will share their latest respiratory virus immunization recommendations and how they used the data from the evidence review to develop immunization recommendations for children and adolescents, healthy adults, older adults, pregnant patients, immunocompromised patients, and healthcare personnel.
